Hey Darryl, love your message here. I'm definitely one of those people who, for a long time, fell into the category of "working out because I have to." I wasn't present. I didn't enjoy it. I was just going through the motions, disconnected from my environment and any sense of playful spontaneity. I don't do that (quite as much) anymore and I can accredit "paleo fitness" for shifting my mindset. Now I run, jump, climb, play, crawl, swim and, yes, explore, all without focusing on any end-result. Like you said, it's about instant gratification. It's about benefiting from movement, not what movement (hopefully, eventually) "gets" you. And, in my experience, when you do this those desired results come naturally! Thanks for the work you do man. Your book is on my reading list!
